By consenting to and agreeing to the terms of this document, you expressly agree to allow Teeter to process your information in the manner outlined in this Policy. This policy applies only to information collected by teeter.com (the “Site”). Individuals must be 18 years of age or older to use this site and by using this Site, you warrant that you are 18 years of age or older.

It may be necessary to amend this document from time to time. The date of the most current revision will always be printed at the top of this document. All transactions are governed by the most recent Policy at the time of sale.  Your continued use of the Site after any such changes will indicate your consent to the changes.

Information We Collect

We collect information you give us when you use our site. Examples include, but are not limited to, the following:

Automatically Collected Information. We automatically receive certain types of information whenever you interact with us. For example, when you visit the Site, our systems automatically collect your IP address and the type of browser you use. Information may be automatically collected through the use of “cookies” which are discussed in more detail below. We may also collect information about your browsing behavior, such as IP address information, entry and exit points for the site, search terms, website addresses you visit, page views, and impressions. Our site may also collect hashed identifiers derived from email addresses for the purposes of cross-device tracking for targeted advertising. See NextRoll’s Privacy Notice.

Cookies. Cookies are small text files placed on your hard drive by a website when you visit. These files identify your computer and record your preferences and other data about your visit so that when you return to the site, the site knows who you are and can personalize your visit. In general, we use cookies to collect information so that we can determine how to improve our sites by seeing which areas, features and products are most popular, to personalize the site and improve the site experience. Most browsers automatically accept cookies as the default setting. You can modify the setting to reject cookies or to prompt you before accepting a cookie from the sites you visit by editing browser options. If you decide not to accept our cookies, you will still be able to access those parts of our site available to the general public but you may not be able to use some of the Site’s features or services and you may have a less satisfactory experience. Types of cookies we may use on our Websites include:

  • Session cookies: These temporary cookies expire and are automatically erased whenever you close your browser window. We may use session cookies to grant our users access to content and to enable actions such as remembering application or payment information as you are in the process of entering it.
  • Persistent cookies: These cookies usually have an expiration date in the distant future and remain in your browser until they expire or you manually delete them. We may use persistent cookies to better understand usage patterns so we can improve the Websites for our users. For example, we may use a persistent cookie to associate you with your account or to remember your choices on the Websites.
  • Third-party cookies: We may permit third-party service providers to place cookies through our Websites to provide us with better insights into the use of the Websites or user demographics or to provide relevant services to you. These third parties may collect information about a user’s online activities over time and across different websites when he or she uses our Website. For example, we may use a third-party tool to analyze usage patterns of the Websites. Such a tool may generate a cookie to capture information about your use of the Websites which the third-party provider uses to compile reports on website activity for us and to provide other related services. The third-party provider may use a portion of your IP address to identify its cookie. We do not control the use of third-party cookies or the resulting information and we are not responsible for any actions or policies of such third parties. In particular, our Websites may use Google Analytics and Hotjar to collect and process data. For more information on Google Analytics, please see Google’s privacy policy and Google Analytics help pages (located at https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/ and https://support.google.com/analytics/?hl=en#topic=3544906). To opt out of being tracked by Google Analytics across all websites, please visit https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. For more information on Hotjar, please see Hotjar’s privacy policy (located at https://www.hotjar.com/legal/policies/privacy). To opt out of being tracked by Hotjar, please visit https://www.hotjar.com/legal/compliance/opt-out.

Billing information is collected and processed by a secure third-party service (CyberSource) and is subject to its Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.

Children’s Privacy

This Site is intended for use by individuals who are 18 years of age or older. Accordingly, Teeter does not knowingly, directly or passively, collect information from individuals under the age of 18.

How Information is Used

Teeter will use your information as needed for processing your transaction, and for contacting you regarding your order and our business. Your contact information may be used by Teeter to confirm details of your order, clarify issues you may have as a customer, or occasionally to contact you after your order with product update information, information related to your purchase, or with other company communication and customer satisfaction inquiries. This applies to all purchases made using the Teeter website. After your purchase, if you do not wish to receive further emails from Teeter, please contact us using the details below.

How We Share Information

Teeter will share your information exclusively as is necessary to complete your specific transaction, such as sharing your shipping information with our billing service provider. We will not share, rent, or sell your personal information with outside parties except when required by law to do so. Teeter does not sell or rent contact lists, and your information will not be used to contact you regarding businesses other than Teeter or its affiliates.  We may disclose information collected from and about you as follows: (1) to our related companies and service providers, to perform a business, professional or technical support function for us; (2) to our affiliated financing company to determine your personal eligibility for financing and to manage payment fulfillment; (3) to third-party collection companies for collection of past due balances; (4) to third parties (in the form of aggregated or anonymous information) in order to serve targeted advertising and for measurement and analytics purposes, (5) as necessary if we believe that there has been a violation of our Terms or of our rights or the rights of any third party; (6) to respond to legal process (such as a search warrant, subpoena or court order) and provide information to law enforcement agencies or in connection with an investigation on matters related to public safety, as permitted by law, or otherwise as required by law; and (7) in the event that our company or substantially all of its assets are acquired, your personal information may be one of the transferred assets. We may also disclose your personal information with your express consent. We may share aggregate, non-personally identifiable information about Website users with third parties.

Security

We maintain reasonable and appropriate measures designed to maintain information we collect in a secure manner.  We have taken certain physical, electronic, and administrative steps to safeguard and secure the information we collect from Site visitors.  Even though we follow reasonable procedures to try to protect the information in our possession, no security system is perfect and we cannot promise, and you should not expect, that your information will be secure in all circumstances.  As a result, while we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee or warrant the security of any information you transmit to or from our web sites, and you do so at your own risk.

Interest-Based Advertising / Opting Out

We may partner with ad networks and other ad serving providers (“Advertising Providers”) who serve ads on behalf of us and others on non-affiliated websites. Some of those ads may be personalized, meaning that they are intended to be relevant to you based on information Advertising Providers collect about your visits to this site and elsewhere over time.

Visitors may decline to have personal data collected via third party tracking technologies by navigating to the settings feature in your browser and declining all third party cookies or declining third party cookies from specific sites, or, for mobile, limiting ad tracking or resetting the advertiser identifier via the privacy settings on your mobile device. You may also visit www.aboutads.info to learn more about this type of advertising and how to opt-out of this form of advertising by companies participating in the Digital Advertising Alliance (“DAA”) self-regulatory program.  For visitors wishing to opt-out from receiving cross-device site advertising (i.e. tracking a user across devices), access your device settings to disable or visit and employ the controls described on the NAI’s Mobile Choices page. Note that electing to opt-out will not stop advertising from appearing in your browser or applications.  It may make the ads you see less relevant to your interests.  In addition, note that if you use a different browser or erase cookies from your browser, you may need to renew your opt-out choice. Or you may use the following links to opt out of targeted or interest based advertising: Network Advertising Initiative or AdRoll Opt Out

Other Links

This Site may contain links that direct you to websites owned and operated by other companies. We do not control, does not endorse, and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies or practices of any third party websites, which may employ cookies and/or collection personal information.  We recommend that you review the privacy policy posted on any external site before disclosing any personal information.  Please contact those websites directly if you have any questions about their privacy policies.
