Supporting Food Security with GoodRoots Northwest
We're proud to support GoodRoots Northwest and their mission to create a more sustainable, dignified approach to food access.
GoodRoots is rethinking hunger relief through a fully online grocery model and climate-controlled pickup lockers — expanding access with greater flexibility, privacy, and convenience for individuals and families. By sourcing from local farms whenever possible, they also strengthen regional agriculture while providing fresh, nutritious food to those who need it most.
It's a model that reflects closely with how we think about impact: practical, forward-thinking, and built to support people and communities for the long term.
A Legacy of Giving
Giving back has been part of Teeter from the very beginning, shaped by founder Roger Teeter's belief that helping people should extend far beyond the product.
Through personal contributions and his foundation, Children's Chance for Life, Roger supported a wide range of causes focused on healthcare, families, and underserved communities around the world. In 2021 alone, over $1 million was directed toward these efforts.
He remained deeply committed to this work, helping bring a project to life that provides housing and rehabilitation support for individuals experiencing homelessness in Tacoma — an example of the care and commitment that defined his approach to giving.
That same spirit continues today, shaping how we support causes as a company and as a team.
How We Give
Global & Partner Support
We support organizations around the world working to provide healthcare, food access, and essential services. This includes supporting the work of organizations like Medical Teams International and Padrino, helping deliver care to underserved populations and families in need.
Local Community Investment
Closer to home, we invest in organizations that strengthen our local communities — supporting initiatives focused on housing, education, youth development, and family services. Many of these efforts are shaped by our team, with employees helping direct support toward causes they care about, from animal welfare and domestic violence support to youth programs and therapeutic services.
Showing Up as a Team
In addition to financial support, Teeter employees regularly give their time to causes in our community. Each year, our team participates in events like The Big Give, helping deliver Thanksgiving meals to families in need, and Beautify Bonney Lake, supporting the parks and public spaces where we live and work.
Giving back has always been part of who we are — and we're proud to continue building a company that helps people feel better, in more ways than one.
